Rooting

Rooting

Several people have asked how they can connect more deeply with Nature. There are many ways; for me, a fundamental one is rooting. When we root ourselves, our electromagnetic field attunes to the Earth’s, and our channels of perception begin to open. With regular practice, connection and communication with our surroundings become clearer. I also associate rooting with greater emotional neutrality and positive changes in the physical body and our ability to manifest.

You can begin by walking barefoot on earth or grass. Grounding is associated with benefits such as reduced pain and inflammation, less stress through a normalised cortisol rhythm, better sleep, more energy on waking and improved circulation. To explore the connection we naturally have with Gaia, our Mother Earth, I recommend an imaginative journey: roots emerge from your heart, travel through your body and reach your feet. They descend to the Earth Star chakra, about 30–50 cm below your feet, and finally reach the Earth’s crystalline core.

In this way we align with the energy of different kingdoms and can communicate more consciously with plants, as well as animals, crystals and humans, and become more receptive to cosmic information.

For this practice, alignment with the Soul Star chakra, 15–30 cm above the head, also matters; it connects us with the Universe. As we consciously connect sky, earth and heart, our luminous vibration begins to rise within our atomic cellular structure, activating our light bodies.

Here is a video with a grounding meditation I recommend. The link starts at the meditation, which lasts about 20 minutes. If you have time, you can watch the whole video.
