Ariel’s Laboratory

Ariel’s Laboratory

A four-metre quartz cylinder, percussion-playing metal spiders, and a beautiful lute made especially for plants to play are some of the wonders I saw in Ariel Guzik’s laboratory.

The delight began when I visited his herbal practice. I felt as though I had travelled through time. Jars filled with plants welcomed me, and dozens of mother tinctures greeted me from the walls. There is a magical atmosphere where the ancient and the technological meet.

Guzik founded the Laboratory for Research in Resonance and Expression of Nature. He has created several instruments, including the Plasmath Lute, a string instrument with electromagnetic sensors through which plants have given concerts. Ariel likes to invent machines and instruments for listening to Nature. I like to listen by entering meditative states.

There are different techniques and ways of creating and perceiving a deep connection with Nature. What matters, if that is our wish, is finding our own.

Here is a video of ‘Concert for Plants’, a concert performed by plants, for plants: https://youtu.be/Dq9z1aSSzRM

An artistic contribution that brings us closer to listening to Nature.

To explore how we can communicate with the Plant Kingdom and the Universe, you can attend the workshop I am offering in a week.
